Product details
For all fans of the Alsatian emblem, discover the Colmar Coat of Arms Crest. This crest can be ironed on or embroidered onto your clothes and accessories, making it an essential souvenir of your stay in Alsace.
The Colmar coat of arms, which in all likelihood comes from a combination of Kolben, the mace, and Columbaria, the Latin name for Colmar, appears on the oldest seal of the town of Colmar, used in 1214, in the form of three handles with balls set in palms above the Hohenstaufen leopard.
When the General Armorial was drawn up under Louis XIV, the old arms were combined with red and green, the colours of the town used in particular for the livery of the municipal staff.
- Heat your iron according to the material of your fabric.
- Place the garment on the ironing board and position the patch with the sticky side facing the fabric.
- Cover the patch with or without a damp cloth (depending on the fabric) and iron for 30 seconds, using strong pressure.
- Repeat the operation on the inside of the garment if necessary.
- Check that the patch is stuck on correctly.
- Allow to cool before use.
