Online Reviews Policy

This document sets out the conditions under which customers who have purchased on decoalsace.fr use the rating and review service for the products they ordered and bought.

1. Leaving a review

Only customers who have ordered on decoalsace.fr can leave a review for a product they bought. The customer can:

• Respond to the review request email sent a few days after the order has shipped (one click on a star opens the form)
• Use the "Write your review" button on the product page, or the "Your reviews" section of their account

One review per product and per order. The title and the comment are required. The review can be edited for 7 days using the link received, and up to 3 photos can be added, which are published after review by our team. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.

2. Warranties and obligations

By leaving a review, the customer warrants that:

• They are the sole author and owner of the rights to the content
• All the content is accurate and complete
• They are at least 18 years old
• The content does not breach this Policy or the Terms of Use of Déco Alsace
• They respect the image and reputation of Déco Alsace
• They do not use the Service for commercial purposes

2.1 Prohibited content

• False, inaccurate or misleading
• Infringing the property or confidentiality rights of third parties
• Unlawful or harmful
• Defamatory, inciting hatred or discriminatory
• Paid for or compensated by a third party
• Containing viruses or harmful programs
• Allowing intrusion into or alteration of systems
• Disrupting the Service

3. Verification, moderation and publication

• Verified purchase: the label indicates that the review comes from a customer who placed an order on our website. For reviews collected before the migration of our review system, it carries over the verification of the former system.
• Moderation: every new review is read by our team before publication and is only published if it complies with the rules of section 2. A review is not rejected because of its rating.
• Display: the review is shown with its date, the first name followed by the initial of the surname, and the flag of the delivery country. No other data is displayed.
• Sorting: the most recent reviews come first by default. Visitors can sort by usefulness or rating and filter by rating.
• Reply: Déco Alsace may reply publicly to a review.
• Reporting: the "Report" link allows a review to be reported. No review is hidden automatically: each report is examined by our team.
• No compensation is offered in exchange for a review.

4. Summary generated by artificial intelligence

On some product pages, a short summary is automatically generated by an artificial intelligence from the published reviews. It is labelled as such, is not a review, may contain errors, and only the detailed reviews are authoritative. It is not sent to Google.

To produce it, the text, title and rating of the reviews are sent to our provider Anthropic, based in the United States. Neither the name, the email address nor the customer or order number is sent.

5. Sharing with Google

As part of the "Product Ratings" program, the following data is sent to Google:

• The first name followed by the initial of the surname, and the title, text, rating and date of the review
• A pseudonymised identifier derived from the email address (the address itself is not sent)

The Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, subject to interruptions beyond the control of Déco Alsace. Its use is governed by French law.
