Product details

For all fans of the Alsatian emblem, discover the Colmar Coat of Arms iron-on patch. This essential souvenir from your Alsace stay applies easily to your clothes and accessories through ironing or embroidery.

The Colmar coat of arms, which in all likelihood stems from a connection between Kolben, the mace, and Columbaria, the Latin name for Colmar, appears on the oldest known seal of the town dating from 1214. It features three handles with balls set in palm form above the Hohenstaufen leopard, a prestigious symbol of Alsatian heritage.

When the General Armorial was created under Louis XIV, the old arms were combined with red and green, the town's official colours used particularly for the livery of municipal staff. This historic tradition makes it genuine regional heritage to wear with pride.

How do I apply an iron-on patch?
  • Heat your iron according to your fabric material.
  • Place the garment on the ironing board and position the patch with the sticky side facing the fabric.
  • Cover the patch with or without a damp cloth (depending on the fabric) and iron for 30 seconds with strong pressure.
  • Repeat the operation on the inside of the garment if necessary.
  • Check that the patch is properly stuck on.
  • Allow to cool thoroughly before use.

For children and adults.

  • Height: 8 cm
  • Width: 5.5 cm
  • Material: Iron-on polyester
