Complete preparation kit to make at home a Sweet Kougelhopf delivered with its 21 cm plain clay Kougelhopf mould from Soufflenheim made from Haguenau Forest Clay, handmade and hand painted decorated with Daisies in the Soufflenheim Pottery Workshops in Alsace.
Prepare at home a real Alsatian Kougelhopf of the Small Alsatian to taste in Family or between Friends very easily thanks to the Kit of preparation Kougelhopf of Alsace Sweetened developed by the Pastry cooks Fanny and Fabrice with a Kougelhopf mould of diameter 21 cm.
The Kougelhopf is in fact a leavened Brioche, whose appearance is characteristic because of its Mould. This speciality has been for a long time a celebration cake, prepared for many occasions, and nowadays it is eaten at breakfast in its sweet version, and as an aperitif in its savoury version.

Nothing could be easier! Fanny and Fabrice, our passionate pastry chefs, have thought of everything: the dry ingredients are weighed and packaged in numbered bags, all you have to do is follow their instructions, add a little water and fat and you are sure to make wonders and happy people.

Yes, without any problem, pottery can withstand high heat, but only in the oven!
Yes, as long as your oven is a standard 60 cm wide.
When using your Kougelhopf Mould for the first time, we advise you to grease it well with a fatty substance (Oil or Margarine (avoid Butter)) and place it in your cold oven which you will heat to 120° for 20 minutes and repeat this operation a second time for a good release from the mould.
This procedure is necessary when using the device for the first time.
Thereafter, you will use your Kougelhopf Mould, greasing it only once, by placing it in the cold start oven which you will heat to the required temperature.
When removing the Mould from the oven, never place it on a cold or icy surface to avoid thermal shock.
Once cooled, clean your Kougelhopf Mould with warm water and a sponge or brush (non-metallic) and washing-up liquid.
Once dry, store your Mould in a dry, well-ventilated place and it will give you years of satisfaction.
Sometimes you can see very thin cracks in the enamel of a Kougelhopf mould. This cracking is necessary to ensure that the piece is heat resistant.
Note: A natural shrinkage of the pottery of between 2 and 8% of the diameter of the pottery is completely normal, due to the phenomenon of water evaporating and transforming into gas, causing the molecules to move closer together.
To preparef Alsatian Sweet Kougelhopf, you can either use a food processor or a bread machine.
