This Alsatian card game is composed of 4 suits: Spades, Diamonds, Clubs and Hearts and has 54 different Alsatian designs on a monument, a square or a location in Alsace.
Cards with a king, queen or jack are called figures.
Each card has a different visual of a monument, a square or a location in Alsace!
Why 54 cards in a game ?
To go even further, the theory goes that all the points combined from the 52 cards in the deck make 364 in total.
Adding a joker, we get 365 days, the total number of days in a year. But since we tend to add two jokers, we get 54 cards and 366 points.
