The Alsatian subject, hung by its Cord is made from fired red earthenware which, after drying, undergoes a first firing between 950 ° and 1100 °, called a " Biscuit ".

After applying the glaze or enamel, the second firing is carried out at a temperature lower than the " Biscuit " and corresponding to the very specific characteristics of the Red.
