The Alsatian, hung by its Cord, is made from fired red earthenware which, after drying, undergoes a first firing between 950° and 1100°, called a "Biscuit". This fundamental step ensures the strength and durability of the piece.

After applying the glaze or enamel, the second firing is carried out at a lower temperature than the "Biscuit" and corresponds to the specific characteristics of the brilliant red. This traditional Alsatian process gives each object its timeless charm and elegance.
