Confitures de Nicole
With a grandfather who was a distiller and a grandmother who was passionate about her garden, Nicole and her daughter Sophie were predestined to work with fruit.
Their family shop is located in Châtenois, in Alsace.
Their 100% home-made jam recipes are directly inspired by this family know-how! They are handmade with fruit from local producers, directly.
They are carefully selected (to keep only the best), and when ripe.
The fruit is worked by hand, and macerated in sugar in stainless steel jars for twelve hours before cooking. They are then placed in copper cauldrons for an old-fashioned cooking process with recurrent temperature controls but also of the sugar content, which must be between 63 and 65% for a natural preservation, without preservatives.
