The Pascal or Lammele Lamb Mold makes it possible to create a cookie in the shape of a lamb and which is traditionally made for Easter for children.

It is composed of a sponge cake type cookie which takes its shape of Lamb in this thick terracotta mold composed of two shapes assembled by a hook clasp provided.

With a generous size of 18 cm, the molds are in unbleached raw pottery on the outside while the inside of the mold is varnished.

Note : Each set made on the Pottery of Soufflenheim are unique, the latter are painted by hand according to the creativity of the Potter.

Soufflenheim Potteries are baked at more than 1000°C, these high quality potteries will support without any worries the cooking of your oven, and go well in the microwave and dishwasher.

  • 3 eggs
  • 70 g sugar
  • 90 g cake flour with baking powder
  • 1 lemon juice plus a few zests or 1/2 kirsch

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Cooking time: approx. 30 minutes

Preparation:

  1. Beat the whole eggs with the sugar until the mixture whitens.
  2. Add the flour and baking powder and mix..
  3. Stir in the lemon juice and zest or kirsch.
  4. Gently pour into the greased and floured earthenware tin.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at gas mark 6 (approx. 180°C).
  6. Serve the lamb sprinkled with icing sugar.
  7. Enjoy your meal

Yes, of course, pottery can withstand high heat, but only in the oven, microwave or dishwasher.

Yes, as long as your oven is a standard 60 cm wide.

Before using it for the first time, we recommend that you

  • Butter the 2 parts well
  • Lay them flat in the oven at 180°C for 5 minutes.
  • Take them out of the oven
  • When they are lukewarm, reapply a layer of butter.
  • Assemble the 2 parts, fit the tongs, then pour in your dough.
  • No soaking required

When removing the Lamb Pascal mould from the oven, never place it on a cold or icy surface to avoid thermal shock.

You can sometimes see in the Lamb Pascal mould very thin cracks in the enamel. This braiding is necessary to ensure the piece's resistance to heat.
