Yes, of course, pottery can withstand high heat. You can safely use your egg cup in the oven, microwave or dishwasher without worry.
Clean your Egg Cup with warm water, a sponge or soft brush (non-metallic) and mild washing-up liquid. Once dry, store your ceramic piece in a dry, well-ventilated place.
You can sometimes see very thin cracks in the enamel on the Egg Cup. These micro-cracks are essential so that the clay in the pottery can expand and contract without breaking. They are more or less visible depending on the piece and colour, becoming more pronounced over time and with regular use, which adds to the authentic charm of the Alsatian product.
