This surprising Fir Liqueur is obtained from maceration and distillation of fir shoots and buds, which gives it a unique and original taste. It is enjoyed well chilled as a liqueur, as an aperitif in the Kir style with fresh Riesling or Crémant, or to flavour your cocktails.
The Meyer Distillery, located in the small Alsatian village of Hohwarth, was founded in 1958 by Fridolin Meyer. This family distillery initially specialised in local fruit distillation before launching into whiskey production in 2007, now offering high-quality single malts and blends.
The Fir Liqueur is among the great traditional Alsatian digestives, alongside Marc de Gewurztraminer, Williams Pear, Raspberry, Mirabelle plum, Kirsch, Quetsches, Blueberries, Violet, Gentian and Old Plum. These regional spirits embody Alsatian distillation expertise and reflect the richness of the region's fruits and plants.
