This Violet Liqueur is a delicate creation from the Meyer distillery, located in the small Alsatian village of Hohwarth. It offers a fresh floral bouquet on the palate with a very flowery nose, perfect as an aperitif in the Kir style with an Alsatian Riesling or Crémant, but also enjoyed chilled as a digestif liqueur.
The Meyer distillery, founded in 1958 by Fridolin Meyer, has specialised since its inception in the distillation of local Alsatian fruits. In 2007, this historic house ventured into regional whisky production, offering both a single malt and a blend of outstanding quality.
The traditional Alsatian digestif liqueurs produced by Meyer encompass a broad range of flavours: Marc de Gewurztraminer, Williams Pear, Raspberry, Wild Raspberry, Mirabelle plum, Kirsch, Quetsches, Liqueur de Sapin, Blueberries, Strawberries, Violet, Gentian, Wild Plum, Old Plum and Alisier. Each of these creations reflects the terroir and artisanal expertise of Alsace.
