On a blue background with gold fabric, it is decorated with a Father Christmas and a Snowman and Christmas motifs.

The origin goes back to the myth of Saint Nicholas, a Catholic saint known for his generosity towards children.

Legend has it that he left gold coins in the socks of poor girls to enable them to get married.

This story has evolved over time into a tradition in Anglo-Saxon and Nordic countries, where Christmas socks are hung up so that Santa can slip gifts into them for the children.
