Prepare at home delicious and real Alsatian Lamalas (Lamb Pascal or Lammele) of 550 gr of the Petit Alsacien to enjoy with family or friends very easily thanks to the Lamala preparation kit developed by pastry chefs Fanny and Fabrice and its premium quality Pascal Lamb Mould.
With a generous size of 18 cm, the moulds are in unbleached raw pottery on the outside whilst the inside of the mould is varnished. This local craft from Soufflenheim is guaranteed 100% lead-free and complies with all food safety standards.

The Potteries of Soufflenheim are fired at more than 1000°C. These high quality pottery pieces will withstand the baking of your oven without any worries and are also perfectly suited to the microwave and dishwasher. Lammele is a biscuit in the shape of a lamb that is traditionally made at Easter for children in the Alsatian tradition.
It consists of sponge cake type biscuit dough which takes the shape of a lamb in a terracotta mould made up of two assembled shapes.
For the realisation, nothing could be simpler. Fanny and Fabrice, our passionate pastry chefs, have thought of everything: the dry ingredients are weighed and packaged in numbered bags. You just have to follow their instructions, add a little water and you are sure to make wonderful Alsatian Lamalas!

Can I put it in the oven?
Yes, of course, pottery can withstand high heat, but only in the oven, microwave or dishwasher.
Will it fit in my oven?
Yes, as long as your oven is a standard 60 cm wide.
Instructions for use
Before using for the first time, we recommend that you:
- Butter the 2 parts well
- Lay them flat in the oven at 180°C for 5 minutes
- Take them out of the oven
- When they are lukewarm, reapply a layer of butter
- Assemble the 2 parts, fit the tongs, then pour in your dough
- No soaking required
When removing the Lamb Pascal mould from the oven, never place it on a cold or icy surface to avoid thermal shock.
You can sometimes see very thin cracks in the enamel in Lamb Pascal moulds. These micro cracks are necessary to allow the clay in the pottery to expand and contract without breaking. They are more or less visible depending on the piece and colour and become more pronounced over time and with repeated use.

Thanks to the groove in the parting line of our moulds, assembly is easier and the risk of paste leaking is reduced.
To prepare Alsatian Lamalas, you can either use a food processor or work by hand. The Alsatian Lamala Manufacturing Kit is translated into French, German and English.
