The Potteries of Soufflenheim are fired at more than 1000°C, these high-quality pottery pieces will withstand the firing of your oven without any concerns, and are also suitable in the microwave and in the dishwasher. This water goblet resists temperature fluctuations and thermal shock thanks to its unique composition of Alsatian clay.
Yes, of course, pottery can withstand high heat, but only in the oven, microwave or dishwasher. Your goblet will maintain its decoration in excellent condition throughout the years.
Clean your water goblet with warm water and a sponge or brush (non-metallic) and washing-up liquid. After drying, store your goblet in a dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid violent impacts that could damage the enamel coating.
You can sometimes see very thin cracks in the enamel in the Water Goblet. These micro-cracks are essential for the clay in the pottery to expand and contract without breaking. They are more or less visible depending on the piece and the colour, and become more pronounced with time and use. This is a natural and authentic characteristic of pottery manufactured in Alsace.
