Note : Sometimes you can see very thin cracks in the glaze of the Baeckeoffe Terrine. These micro-cracks are essential if the clay in the pottery is to expand and contract without breaking. They are more or less visible depending on the piece and the colour, and become more pronounced with time and use.

A natural shrinkage of pottery ranging from 2 to 8% is completely normal, due to the phenomenon of evaporation of water, which is transformed into gas, causing the molecules to move closer together.

It can also happen that a lack of paint can occur under the handles of the mould by turning it over, this is not a defect because everything is covered with the protective varnish and does not present an aesthetic lack because it is located under the handles and not visible.
