The Gnome is a small, legendary humanoid creature from European folklore, about 15 cm tall and red in colour, wearing a red hat with white spots and a white/grey beard. This decorative figurine embodies the magic of Alsatian traditions and the legends of the Obernai region.

He is often confused with goblins and sprites, who like him are part of the little people featured in European folk tales and legends. These fantastical creatures have populated our collective imagination for centuries through stories and regional folklore.

Paracelsus, in the 16th century, included him in his list of elementals as an earth elemental, acknowledging his profound connection to underground forces and the mysteries of nature.

It is characterised by a very small size, a subterranean life, and a great knowledge of telluric secrets. This 15 cm tall figurine with cap is an ideal decorative object to create a magical and folklore-inspired atmosphere in your home or collection.
