Calendar Hansi's Alsace 2027
Product details
Alsace Hansi Calendar 2027, a Window onto Authentic Alsace
The new Hansi's Alsace Calendar for 2027 is a visual celebration of Alsatian traditions. Entirely illustrated with Hansi drawings, this calendar transports viewers to the heart of Alsace with its picturesque landscapes and village scenes. The front cover features the iconic image of Happy Children near their Village, a symbol of the joyful Alsatian atmosphere.
Covering a 16-month period from September 2026 to December 2027, this calendar offers extended use. Its square format of 19.5 cm x 19.5 cm fits perfectly into any interior décor.
Hansi, the Legendary Illustrator of Alsace
Jean-Jacques Waltz, alias Hansi or Uncle Hansi, is a French artist and illustrator born in Colmar. In 1894 his father sent him to Lyon to study industrial drawing, where he also pursued painting and decorative arts. After his stay in Lyon, he returned to Alsace where he became famous as a postcard artist.
The motifs of his illustrations often combine idyllic village scenes with subtle humorous elements. Whilst at first glance his illustrations appear to be innocent scenes of Alsatian life, closer observation reveals the narrative sophistication that characterised Hansi's unique artistic style.

Customers appreciate the beauty of Hansi's illustrations, which offer a different view of Alsace each month, as well as the quality of the glossy paper and the practical format. Many buy it faithfully year after year, sometimes to give as a gift or to collect. Two reviews regret that some designs are not really new from one year to the next.
