Alsatian Calendars - The Soul of the Region Through the Months

In Alsace, the calendar is a tradition deeply rooted in regional culture. For generations, Alsatian families have hung an illustrated calendar on the wall of their kitchen or living room, marking the seasons, recalling local festivities and celebrating the region's incomparable beauty. Storks, golden vineyards, half-timbered villages, Christmas markets... each month brings new images that make the hearts of Alsace lovers beat faster.

These calendars also make wonderful gifts - for a nostalgic Alsatian, a friend who loves the region, or for yourself to keep a little piece of Alsace with you all year long.

A Piece of History - The Legendary Hansi Calendar

Among Alsatian calendars, one has marked entire generations : the Hansi Calendar, whose illustrations are inspired by the style of Jean-Jacques Waltz known as "Hansi" (1873-1951) - an Alsatian illustrator whose work celebrated the identity and cultural resistance of the region. His colourful characters have become unmistakable graphic symbols of Alsace.

Unfortunately, the Hansi Calendar will not be published in 2026 - a publisher's decision that has touched many enthusiasts. We sincerely hope for a return in 2027 and will keep you informed as soon as possible.

Replied by: Déco Alsace On 2025-08-02 Bonjour,
