Hansi's Alsace Calendar 2025

The new L'Alsace de Hansi Calendar with binder in the 2025 version, fully illustrated with drawings by Hansi on the theme of Alsace, with the unmissable image of Les Gâteaux, covering a period of 16 months from September 2024 to December 2025!

The Home page of the 2024 Calendar is on the essential Les Gâteaux image.

Dimensions : Square format 19.5 cm x 19.5 cm

Jean-Jacques Waltz, alias Hansi or Uncle Hansi, was a French illustrator born in Colmar.

In 1894, his father sent him to Lyon to study industrial design. He also studied painting and decorative arts, again in Lyon.

After his stay in Lyon, he returned to Alsace, where he became famous as a postcard artist.

The motifs of his illustrations often combine idyllic village scenes with biting anti-German caricatures.

While at first glance his illustrations appear to be innocent scenes of Alsatian life, closer observation reveals the aversion to Germans that was to become Hansi's trademark.

Presented on PEFC glossy paper and bound in full white with a hanging hook, the Calendar is finished to a high standard and comprises 16 months, from September 2024 to December 2025.

PEFC paper (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is certified paper that comes from responsibly managed forests. It is therefore environmentally friendly and sustainable over time.
