Obernai Wine Festival 2026 - 56th Edition | August 11-16

Since 1970, the Obernai Wine Festival has been one of the most convivial wine events in Alsace. For its 56th edition, from Tuesday August 11 to Sunday August 16, 2026, the Corporation des Vignerons d'Obernai takes over the Market Square - behind the Kappelturm bell tower - for six days of tastings, sharing and celebration. Free admission, daily from 10 am to 8 pm.

Wines from five estate members of the Corporation

The Corporation des Vignerons d'Obernai brings together five independent wine estates : Domaine Robert Blanck, Domaine Hugues Strohm, Domaine Annie Strub and Domaine Marcel Weibel et Fils. Together they cultivate the 7 Alsatian grape varieties on the sun-drenched hillsides overlooking the town : Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir, alongside Crémant d'Alsace, late harvest wines and noble rot selections.

Over six days, the winegrowers invite you to taste their wines by the glass and purchase bottles to take home - a rare chance to meet the producers directly and explore the diversity of Obernai's vineyards.

The vigneron cocktail - the unmissable speciality

No visit to the Obernai Wine Festival is complete without tasting the famous cocktail du vigneron, the signature of the Obernai Corporation. Made from Crémant d'Alsace, wine, lime and cane sugar, this refreshing cocktail has become a true institution - the perfect summer drink in a stunning Alsatian setting.

Festival highlights

Tartines and Folklore Evening - Wednesday

Midweek, the Folklore Evening celebrates Alsatian traditions in their most authentic form. A folk orchestra draws visitors into lively dances, while the famous Obernai tartines (open-faced sandwiches) are served alongside a glass of local wine. A warm, popular evening rooted in Alsatian heritage.

Winegrowers' Ball - Saturday evening

On Saturday August 15, the Corporation hosts its traditional public ball from 6 pm. Live music, games, animations and light food - flammekueche, sausages, desserts - for a festive close to the week, under the Alsatian stars.
